4B20.  God’s instructions for Abraham and his chosen descendants:

God’s Covenantal declarations and promises, requirements, commission and warnings, as well as His specific directions for some of them and others

4B20(title)    God’s instructions for Abraham and his chosen descendants

God’s permanent instructions for Abraham and his chosen descendants were to be always obeyed by them.

4B20(sub-title)    God’s Covenantal declarations and promises, requirements, commission and warnings, as well as His specific directions for some of them and others

God’s instructions were a combination of His Covenantal requirements, commission and warnings [4A10, 4A11 and 4A12].  Together these were the CONDITIONAL basis for God to make Himself known TO and THROUGH Abraham and his chosen descendants positively, in His ongoing relationship with them [4A11(b)(ii)].

When God gave these instructions He mostly also repeated some of His unchanging Covenantal declarations and promises.  So there was a close connection between believing His declarations and promises and obeying His Covenantal requirements.  That was how they would fulfil His Covenantal commission fo them [4A11(b)(i)].

God also gave specific directions and other communications in particular situations to Abraham, Sarah and some of their chosen descendants Gen 15:9,  18:15b,  21:12,  22:2,11-12,  26:3a,  31:3a,11-13,  32:26a,29b,  35:1,  46:3a.  Similarly, God gave directions to a few other people, to be obeyed by them Gen 16:9,11b,  19:2b,12,15,17,21-22,  20:3b,7,  21:18a,  31:24b,29b.
