OTB10 – Summary

The OT is a fascinating, complex and extremely valuable library of authentic ancient literature. Researching it has absorbed the life-work of many specialist scholars from various disciplines. As a result, it can be better understood.
The OT shows by many historical examples, prayers and thoughts, that God’s requirements were basically simple Deuteronomy 6:1,2, 30:11,14. Yet they were usually difficult to obey (even the name “Israel” means “he struggles with God”!). To obey God was the central spiritual challenge from the OT for all people Deut 6:4-5. And it still is for all people, from the whole Bible!
